Anametric, an Austin, TX-based company developing room-temperature quantum photonic solutions for cybersecurity, just completed a $3.3M Seed 2 funding round. This round was led by Convergent Ventures and joined by Scout Ventures, Lavrock Ventures, among others.

Anametric will use the funds to accelerate development of its groundbreaking quantum photonic IC (QPIC) platform functionality, in support of a 2025 product launch. Anametric’s industry-leading silicon photonics cybersecurity platform features remarkably low overhead in both silicon area and power consumption and will feature its patented Hybrid Quantum PUF. This unique PUF architecture incorporates machine learning resistance and patent pending reconfigurability aspects. Anametric’s innovations in silicon photonic integrated circuits are exceptionally scalable across disparate market segments, ranging from IoT to the Data Center and capable of integrating in standard CMOS designs with customers that span both private and government partners.

“Photonics Integrated Circuits (PICs) is a technology ripe for enormous growth over the next decade and more. I have been observing and advising the team at Anametric for the last several years and I am impressed with their vision, progress and traction” says Frank Levinson, Managing Director at Convergent Ventures
