A bright light has gone out of the world.

On the morning of July 13, 2025, our dear friend and Anametric co-founder Jim Gable passed away. Jim was an amazing individual and an incredible leader. We will all miss his indomitable work ethic, his keen wit and his endearing, quiet laugh. Jim leaves behind a long trail of ground-breaking products that he was instrumental in launching, both at Apple as well as at his subsequent startup companies, of which Anametric was simply the most recent. Jim fought his recent illness with his trademarked tenacity until the very end. Even when it became too taxing for him to continue on full-time, Jim still stayed active in the company and we remain incredibly grateful for his continuing contributions and his sage advice over the years.

 But Jim’s true legacy will not be the many successful products that he helped to launch. Rather; it will be the enormous impact that he had on so many people’s lives across many different walks of life as well as the incredible grace and generosity of spirit that he embodied in each and every day of his life. Jim was a rare, kind soul who made a substantive difference in nearly every aspect of every program that he touched. He enjoyed universal, well-earned respect from some of the toughest bosses in the business, and he never complained about anything; no matter how tough the challenges that were thrown in his path. Those attributes will be the things about Jim Gable that we will all remember and cherish most dearly.
